Our most important measures for a safe winter holiday in Val Gardena

he following is a summary of the most important measures to ensure you can enjoy a safe winter holiday in Val Gardena.

  • Smart visitor management at the lifts’ gates.
  • Daily disinfection of all cable cars, WCs and other public spaces.
  • Protective divisors installed between clients and vendors.
  • Increased ski bus frequency to avoid overcrowding.
  • The new Skiers Map, display how busy the main lifts are at a specific the moment (available inside the app and on the 3D ski map of Dolomiti Superski). By measuring the percentage of lift capacity used within a unit of time, the map allows the skier to decide when to use which lifts, and therefore avoid possible crowds.
  • Based on historical data from the last five years, Dolomiti Superski provides a table (holiday calendar) with forecasts of inflow to the ski slopes on each individual day of the season. In this way, the user can plan a holiday in such a way as to avoid the periods of greatest influx.
  • Inhouse trained ‘stewards’ monitor and give information on existing safety measures
  • Comprehensive safety measures in the 65 traditional huts. Sit down and relax and staff will bring your meals to your table. Spacious, sunny terraces offer extra seats outside.
  • Smaller groups will be organised for snowshoe tours, winter hikes, and other activities part of the
    Val Gardena Active programme with local and certified guides.
  • The “COVID-19 Test Center Val Gardena” in the valley will assess suspicious cases and release certifications for your return journey
  • 24-hour emergency number: the provincial emergency call centre (emergency number 112) is available 24 hours a day. The rescue helicopter of the "Aiut Alpin Dolomites" is stationed in Val Gardena and can therefore be at the scene of an emergency in Val Gardena within a few minutes. In the meantime, night flights are also possible.
  • Emergency service for repatriation and care in case of positive COVID-19 cases.
  • Our staff receive regular training on current COVID-19 measures during in-house training sessions. Our staff wears a mask covering both mouth and nose, all of their temperature is measured daily, and regular exams are carried out.
